Due to budget cuts and a lack of personnel, we can only offer the following information at this time:

Water Information

Due to budget cuts, Extension will no longer be selling water testing kits. However, private well owners can get their water tested through the Colorado Department of Health Water Quality Program. To find out how to get your water tested, please visit the following link.

Click on the link entitled, "Water Testing Packages for Private Well Owners." Since uranium and arsenic are common contaminants in El Paso County, experts recommend the General Colorado Package for wells that have never been tested before.

To find out more about drinking water standards and the negative health impacts of drinking water contaminants, please visit the EPA's drinking water website located at the following link.
